Delicious grouper & tartar sauce, a bit pricey but the convenience, makes it worth the price!

We had lunch there and is was very busy. The kitchen and service were slow. Fried oyster and okra app was excellent except for the shell in the oysters. The Crab Cake app was outstanding with a lot of crab and little filler. The South Beach Burger was just average. The Health Nut Salad was quite good as was the Southern Cobb Salad. The Grouper Wrap was good. The on special Flounder BLT Sandwich was excellent as was the accompanying potato salad. The Sea Scallop Basket was exchanged for the Shrimp Basket, which unfortunately was prepared from frozen popcorn shrimp, because the scallops smelled strongly of iodine, indicating they were much too old. Chicken Fingers and Grilled Cheese were fine. Overall the food was good and the prices reasonable but the kitchen needs quality and speed attention. Beer selection is limited and cocktails were average.

Good was "ok" but not worth the $. We had three drinks, two kids meals, an appetizer & a salad and it was $95. We first ordered a Moscow Mule and they gave us Tito's vodka and ginger ale vs goslings RUM and ginger beer. Pina colada was good. Just too much $ for what we got & service.

I went here with a group of friends on Labor Day weekend for lunch! The restaurant has a cute outdoor seating area located next to the pool with views of the beach! The beer menu was pretty basic but there were lots of options for mixed drinks. The food was all delicious. I liked that a lot of the dishes on the menu had a little twist to them, like the peach slaw and the sirloin and pimento cheese sliders! The service is very relaxed yet responsive, and everyone who worked there was extremely friendly! I would definitely go back!

BEWARE OF THIEVES AT CABANA BAR!!!! Been going to this place for years and never had problems until this summer. My son had his wallet stolen off the bar while he waited on a drink. He turned to speak to someone and it was gone in a flash! The thing that makes it so suspicious is that over the last 3 to 4 weeks the same thing has happened to 4 different people we know. I suspect it is an employee and not a guest. Otherwise, great beachside cafe to grab a bite and enjoy a cocktail. Food is always good as is the service. L L

Minus there being no drink specials and small margaritas being $8, this place is an awesome spot for a little break from the beach. Great menu of food and drinks. I love the little outdoor area with a good view of the beach and Litchfield Inn pool. I will definitely be going back next time I'm in Pawley's Island!

Been coming to Cabana for 7 years. Food is good but service terrible. Almost impossible to get wait staff to take drink or food order. Location nice and prices high. Only come if not hungry, thirsty or in a hurry.

A perfect place to relax & take it all in. This is a quaint, laid back place that is fun & delicious. It also happens to be both poolside as well as beach front. The chef Bill Austin, is CIA trained and never lets my taste buds down! I went with my two kids & husband for lunch (although this was not my first trip). We shared the fried oysters to start, the oysters were juicy & fresh. I ordered the grouper (fresh, local) wrap and hubby had the blackened grouper sandwich. My wrap hit the spot, just a tad bit of spice. There are plenty of fun cocktails to choose from as well. If you are visiting the area or a local, check it out!

I've been coming to the Litchfield Inn since I was a baby. Twenty some years later and the cabana cafe has went down the drains. The bar is filthy and the staff is incredibly rude. I went to order an ice cream bar and was told they don't have such things. What establishment on the beach that has families upon families doesn't stock a simple ice cream sandwich? When I then said, "okay, may I have a sangria then," the bartender replied "we don't have that." It is on their specialty cocktail menu and I had one the day prior, so they clearly have it. But instead of being professional and saying "sorry, we ran out, what else can I get you," the bartender decided to lose a customer with her snippy response. A smile and a friendly demeanor go a long way, hopefully they figure that out soon. Until then, however, I won't be wasting my money.

Some of the best bar food on the beach. Our personal favorites are any of the grouper varieties, the crab cake, the health nut salad, and the burgers. Actually we have never had anything that hasn't been very good and we eat here often. The atmosphere is very casual with indoor and outdoor seating and can be a little noisy at times but if you're looking for a more romantic quiet setting try Austin's Ocean One (upstairs). It's our special occasion restaurant and never disappoints. We love both restaurants............excellent food and service.

We decided to eat here for dinner because we were staying at the hotel and it was raining outside, so we didn't want to venture out anymore that day. The restaurant is in a nice enclosed location between the two pools and faces the ocean. We were seated right away and there were tables to spare, so it wasn't too busy. Our server was fast and friendly. There was a guy in there playing a guitar and singing the night we were there. We were amused when he sang "Sex On Fire" by Kings Of Leon in a restaurant that was all families with little kids... aside from my group. Awwwwkward. ;-P This was my first time trying calamari and I liked it. My entree was the chicken caesar salad, which was served on a big fish-shaped plate - fun! This place was fine in a pinch. We were hungry and it was convenient... which is why the food is a bit overpriced.

Inside an older motel type property on the beach. Much like most motel restaurants, this one was average at best. Half of my party got fried seafood entrees and equated them to Long John Silvers quality, but with a price tag of $15 to $20 was very disapointed. The other half got burgers for around $10 and liked them. I got a grilled salmon salad for $14. The fish was very nice and cooked perfectly, but the salad was nothing more than some spinach greens, sliced strawberries and oodles of bland dressing. With all of the restaurant options in town I wouldn't eat here again unless I was stuck at the motel with no transportation options. On the plus side, we were there on a Thursday night and had the place almost to ourselves. Nice location at the pool and facing the ocean. Our server was a nice young man and very fast/friendly.
